Are you one of those people who still uses an Analog TV Set? Or, maybe you know someone who still has one. Starting February 18, 2009, anyone who does not own a digital TV, or who does not have a digital tuner for their analog TV set and who does not receive their programming through satelite, internet, or cable, will not be able to receive the broadcast signal.
Well, here’s some good news. If you are only using a basic TV antenna on the roof, this applies to YOU! As of January 1, 2008, you can apply for U.S. government issued $40 discount coupons in order to purchase the appropriate digital converter boxes.
Here is the CNN news article about switching to digital TV and how to apply for your coupons:

I just replaced my old TV antenna with my own HDTV antenna that I built. It works great! I am picking up TV stations 70 miles away.
Cost me just $20 to build.
