One tip is to use tags for your keywords and to actually show them in normal size (don’t hide them completely) using css. use for actual headings. Google and other search engines almost never checks the css.

People tend to use images on their posts without taking advantage of the “alt” parameter, in that case, they also wasted the chance of letting Google crawl on the image itself.

Using good text descriptions in your images allows google to display that image in their image search. This can result (depending on what you call the image) in a lot of traffic. Tip: Watch your bandwidth.
